It's finally Easter Holidays!!!
You travel quite a lot and with the restrictions on your
carry-on luggage size from airlines like Ryanair, you're certainly - like most people - tend to pack all
of your clothes in your carry-on luggage as the price for checking-in a
suitcase is very high.
We have the solution for you! We will explain in this article how to pack a suitcase using the room in your
bag to the maximum.
Tom Ayzenburg's method
This post will be based on a video by Tom Ayzenburg, who has
given us permission to use his video in the post. Thank you very much for
that!
Check out his YouTube channel and blog if you get the chance:
Here’s his
video:
Here’s what he
has packed into the bag (These may be rough figures because we counted while
watching the video):
1 Pair of trainers
12 pairs of socks
10 pieces of underwear
(Roughly) 13 T-shirts
2 pairs of Jeans
2 hoodies
1 pair of tracksuit bottoms
1 beach towel
1 pair of flip flops
So we can see that Tom has put socks in his trainers (4 pairs per shoe).
He
puts each shoe in a carrier bag and places them each side at the bottom of the
bag.
He then lines the side and bottom of his bag with underwear (we counted 10
pairs of underwear), and takes the rest of the socks and puts them at the side
too.
He puts 3 folded t-shirts in on top and a pair of tracksuit bottoms. Then
you fold two pairs of jeans in, leaving half of them hanging out. Adding the 2
hoodies and the t-shirts is done in a similar way, leaving half of them hanging
out on alternate sides (remember to fold in the sleeves while doing it).
After
you’ve put half of the t-shirts fold in one of the jeans and then add the rest
of the t-shirts. Now, just fold in the jeans and all the t-shirts from
alternate sides, working from the top and make your way down. Lastly, fold the
towel, lie on top and tuck it in and then put your shoes in a carrier bag and
into a pocket or wherever is free.
The How To Team 's trial
Here is Jenna’s
attempt at Packing like a Pro:
As you can see
from the video, it’s very easy. So keep this in mind the next time you go on
vacation!
