10 Simple ways to de-stress !
Feeling bogged down with too much coursework
at the minute; why not use our de-stressing tips to lighten your mood?!
1 - Organise
your week ahead, prepare your bag for tomorrows events.
2 - Before
leaving the house arm yourself with delightful, healthy snacks to keep your
energy going throughout the day.
3 - Always
wash your hands and keep clean. When you are stressed you are prone to viruses
and colds.
4 - Driving to
work or school in the morning, put on your favourite songs and sing like no one
is watching. Singing releases endorphins which will motivate you for the rest
of the day.
5 - Limit what
you’re spending, only use a ATM machine once a week – so you are keeping track
of all outgoings from your bank.
6 - After the
gym make sure to use the pool as water triggers
the body’s relaxation response, helping lower stress-hormone levels.
7 - Give your thumbs
a rest – out of work hours put your mobile phone, Ipad or beeper away and relax
watching a movie.
8 - When you are
facing a major life change just think of a past success – think about past
success can help you connect with your resilient side.
9 - Eat plenty of
healthy foods to keep your brain engaged and active.
10 - Before bed do
some stretches, alleviate any tension from the day’s events and you are
guaranteed a great night sleep.
